Event Theme and Goals
For so many students, the road to Rice leads to a once-in-a-lifetime university experience. Homecoming & Reunion invites Rice alumni back to campus to be welcomed by the Rice community and make new lasting memories. The campaign asked alumni to follow the road back to Rice, no matter how far they’d gone since graduation.
Social Media Strategy
My strategy was to bring energy to social media promotions with playful videos that captured the beauty of campus and brought the theme to life. Many of these videos would feature a remote-controlled vehicle, sometimes using an attached Go-Pro. Others feature the Rice Owls mascot Sammy interacting with the RCV or introduce the mustang convertible featured on the event’s print brochure and other promotional materials.
